Thinking of something unique for your bridesmaids?
Accessorize with fresh flowers,
and give each one a unique twinkling pattern!

Ingredients:
- Sparkle
- 2 or so light-up sequins
- some fresh flowers
- a small battery
- a small battery holder
- some thin, stiff wire
- floral tape
- tissue paper
First, cut the flowers you need, and place them all in a bowl to keep them fresh while you work.
Then cut the wire into 10-inch sections to hold the flowers together.
Fold and cut some tissue paper into 1-inch wide strips, 4 inches in length. |
Gently wrap the wire around the base of the flower, so it will be able to stand on its own. |
Now wet a strip of tissue and wrap it around the stem.
Repeat for all the flower until you have them all wired.
Finally, wrap some floral tape around each stem, all the way down to cover the wire. |

Sequins
This picture looks the same, but it isn't.
Notice the tiny sequin at the base of the flower? |
Take two separate lengths of wire and wrap each one around the beads. Gently now. |
This is important: cover each single wire with floral tape first, then wrap the two together with another piece of tape. You want to make sure the bare metal wires do not touch each other. Leave a bit at the end so you can connect to Sparkle. |
Arrangement
Now finish arranging your pieces, using some more wire to gather the flowers together. |

We used two sequins, but you can certainly use more in your design. |
Sparkle
Essentially, the idea is to orient the pieces, from left to right: silver, brass, Sparkle, brass, silver.
Sparkle will then be able to turn on each one at different times.
In our case, we only used the two inner sequins.
We'll soon post more detailed pictures, but the idea is to now use some crimping beads to crimp the wires coming from the sequins together, and connect them to Sparkle.
Final steps
Wrap a ribbon around the entire corsage, encasing the flowers, Sparkle, and the battery holder in delicate bows.
Flip the switch and watch everyone marvel at your bridesmaid's corsages.
Arigatou! Yukari-san!
