In your hands are all the pieces you need to make a really cool programmable bracelet.
Take it to parties, use it when you bike at night, put it on your pet, or just light up the night.
Best of all, you can reprogram it right from your smart phone, tablet, or laptop.

The bracelet kit contains:
  • sparkle
  • 4 led boards
  • 3 yards conductive thread
  • thin battery (cr2016)
  • leather band with buckles
  • 3 adhesive-backed liners

  • Use two separate threads, one for plus and one for minus
  • Go through each hole 4-6 times to make a good connection, not just once
  • leave about 3 inches of each thread to wind into the battery holder
  • clean up any stray thread and make sure there are no short circuits

  • temporarily press the thread the battery
  • Sparkle should start flashing
  • if it isn't, check if the tiny red light is on.
  • check that + on the battery is connected to + on Sparkle
  • still nothing, read these instructions for more clues

  • When you have Sparkle flashing, connect the LEDs on the right.
  • The one closest to Sparkle has its + side up, and the outer one has its + side down
  • Use two separate threads, one for plus and one for minus

  • Connect Sparkle to the battery
  • Make sure these LEDs are also flashing before moving on
  • Now sew the lights on the left. Again the one closest to Sparkle has its + side up
Verify that the back of your leather band has 6 short lengths of thread, one for each hole on Sparkle, and that there are no short circuits.
Temporarily connect Sparkle to the battery again, and make sure all the lights are still working.
If any LED is lose, reinforce connections by sewing more conductive thread through its holes.

  • Peel the backing off the longer liner piece (it's glued on one side)
  • Pull both two threads through the two holes on the liner
  • Put the sticky side on the back of the leather strap
  • Peel the backing off one side of the round liner with hole
  • Pull the minus thread through the liner, and attach the liner to the band
  • remove the second backing
  • Wind the minus thread into a tight coil
  • Place the battery (plus side up) unto the liner
  • Peel the backing off the second round liner (without hole)
  • Wind the plus thread into a tight coil
  • Place this liner over the battery

To add more LEDs (not included), peel back the liner and sew them unto the existing thread.
